Following on from their 2009 independently released debut success ‘Do the Job’, Southend's Baddies return with an album that’s the perfect forward trajectory.

Kicking things off with the Devo-esque ‘Rewire’ with its jerky synths and manic guitar, it lays the foundation for their brand of off kilter post punk. However, underneath all these quirks are big pop sensibilities with tracks like ‘Mind Machines’ and ‘Talk to me Germany’ sure to bury immediately into your head. A few of the other tracks may take a few more listens to truly grab you but they deserve your time. In particular the seven and a half minute closer ‘Star Surfing’ which ultimately could become one if the albums highlights.

It's an album that truly rewards repeated listens and it sure to build on the initial success that their debut.
