The Charlatans
Tellin' Stories | Anniversary Edition

Released:28th May 2012
Label: Beggars Banquet

Back in 1997, just as Britpop was coming to an end The Charlatans released Tellin’ Stories, their chart topping second album. It was an incredible piece of work and memorable for not only throwing Britpop a lifeline but also for containing the last contributions by Keyboardist Rob Collins, who sadly died in a car accident during the recordings.

This year marks the records 15th Anniversary and to celebrate Archive/Beggars Banquet are releasing a special expanded edition on vinyl and CD along with the original album on real HD download.

Disc one is the original album, remastered and cut from the analogue studio tapes. Tracks like ‘North Country Boy’, ‘How High’ and ‘With No Shoes’ have all aged well and now with some studio wizardry are sounding better than ever.

The second disc is a collection of the single B sides plus an unreleased, early version of ‘Don’t Need A Gun’, originally entitled ‘Rainbow Chasing’; a must have for fans and collectors alike.

In addition to this anniversary release The Charlatans will be playing numerous dates over the summer, performing the album in it’s entirety.
