Atlas Twins

Based: Liverpool
Genre: Acoustic
Website: Facebook

Atlas Twins are David Jones (Classical Guitar and Percussion) and Lianne Turner (Vocals and Percussion). Originally from Liverpool, and currently based in Chester, they came together in November 2011 and list their influences as Nick Drake, Feist and Jose Gonzales.

In the short time that Atlas Twins have been together they have gained support from Adam Walton from BBC Radio Wales who put them on the bill for one of his Cracking Vinyl nights, a bill they shared with Sam Airey and Y Niwl (two much loved artists here at AMP HQ).

Listening to Atlas Twins it soon becomes apparent that these two musicians share a real talent for creating timeless, beautiful music. Their songs feel so intimate that you can’t help but bond with them. Lianne’s vocals are incredibly atmospheric and mesmerizing and will melt even the toughest of hearts. ‘Wind and High Water’ is a highlight. It will stop you dead in your tracks, you’ll become completely transfixed and nothing else in the world will matter.

Atlas Twins are currently working on their debut EP which will hopefully be with us very soon. In the meantime, I urge you not to waste a moment longer, head over to their SoundCloud page and allow yourself to be amazed by the talent of Atlas Twins.
