Cut Ribbons

Based: Llanelli
Genre: Alt/Indie/Rock
Website: cutribbons.com

Cut Ribbons are based in Llanelli in South Wales and consist of Aled Rees (Vocals and Guitar), Anna Griffiths (Vocals), Christian James (Guitar), Shane Lee (Bass) and Caio Griffiths (Drums).

The end of 2011 saw the band release ‘White Horses’ as a single on the Kissability label which is a joint venture between Jen Long (BBC Radio 1) and Transgressive Records.

‘White Horses’ is a confident single with shared boy/girl vocals, sky scraping guitars and pounding drums. This is a song that will fill your life with joy. Track two, ‘Walking on Wires’ is a great infectious pop song that deserves airplay on radio stations all over the world. This is a band that has potential to succeed in both Britain and America. Both these songs make you want to jump around and punch the air with joy. These are songs that sound amazing on the stereo and I imagine would be a mind blowing live experience.

Cut Ribbons are a band who sound like they are going to have a very exciting 2012. They are the Welsh band that are most likely to achieve what Joy Formidable achieved in 2011 and begin to cross over into the mainstream.

Cut Ribbons are busy working on new material with a new single planned for February. If the rest of this band's material is even half as good as these two songs then we have a lot to look forward to.
