Liam Gallagher
Wall Of Glass

Released: 2nd June 2017
Label: Warner Bros

‘Live Forever’, Rock ’n’ Roll Star’, ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Supersonic’, ‘Morning Glory’, ‘Wonderwall', ‘Champagne Supernova’, the list of songs that have been defined by the vocals of Liam Gallagher is endless. To all the haters out there, I honestly fail to understand how anyone can not agree that Liam Gallagher is the greatest rock ’n’ roll star of my lifetime. Since the age of 16 my world has been shaped by the voice, the swagger, the confidence and the image of Liam Gallagher, come on at some point in our lives we have all wanted to be him. Knocking on the door of 40 none of that has changed, Liam Gallagher is and always will be someone that inspires and influences my life.

After what has been a long wait, we finally have a solo Liam Gallagher tune in ‘Wall Of Glass’ to make us grab life by the throat. There was a time when Liam said he would never release a solo album but thankfully he has gone back on his word, and of course if you are Liam Gallagher you can do exactly that. If ‘Wall Of Glass is anything to go by then the world is, without a doubt, a far better place for Liam Gallagher going solo.

‘Wall Of Glass’ is Liam at his absolute best, it is everything and more you would expect from a Liam Gallagher song, good old-fashioned rock ’n’ roll full of confidence and swagger, which is exactly what is missing from music right now. The guitars and drums instantly hit you full-on in the face and Liam’s vocals sound as youthful and as inspiring as ever. From the moment you hear Liam sing you will feel ten feet tall, that the world belongs to you and no one can stop you from living your dreams.

Listening to Liam and Noel Gallagher it’s hard not to reminisce and long for days gone by which seem like only yesterday but are in reality a generation ago. They make you want to give your mates a call, go out and live that rock ’n’ roll dream again. However it is not about the past, Noel has already proved to the world he is still relevant and ‘Wall Of Glass’ shows that the world would be incredibly stupid to even think that Liam Gallagher is not relevant anymore. Play this song to your kid, your younger sibling, kids in your neighbourhood, I guarantee you will inspire them to get off their phones and form a band.

‘As You Were’, the debut solo album from Liam, is out in October. Make sure you own and love it.
