Cambridge band The British IBM have released a self titled second single to celebrate the founding of Intel (18th July 1968). Formed by retro enthusiast and singer-songwriter Adrian Killens, The British IBM combine nerdy delights - indie rock and vintage computing.

As a single this is pretty flawless. It has a bold and confident sound that will make people stop and take notice. Think REM, Smashing Pumpkins, and Broken Family Band and you will have some idea of what to expect.

The track harbors some thoughtful lyrics “If we kept it all together, maybe we’d still be friends”, and on around the two minute mark a lovely string section joins proceedingd to give the song such a rousing and heart warming moment.

The British IBM are currently putting together the finishing touches to their album which should be ready by the end of the month to coincide with a UK tour. If the first two singles are anything to go by we are in for something of a treat.
